During the Fall Meetings in October, the national headquarters operations center on the west side of Indianapolis was re-dedicated as the John H. Geiger Operations Center in honor of the Past National Commander from Illinois. Geiger, who passed away in January, led The American Legion during the 1971-1972 year.
