Replica of The Vietnam Memorial Wall In Washington D. C. Located in Tupelo Mississippi A replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall was dedicated in Tupelo Mississippi on November 2, 2017. Made of black granite, Tupelo’s wall is a 60% scaled version of the one in Washington D. C. Stretching 300 feet, it features the names of 58,318 veterans killed or gone missing in Vietnam. Among the thousands of names are 997 service members killed on their 1st day in Vietnam. Both heartbreaking and heartwarming, the massive wall brings to life the sacrifices made by those who served our county. The wall is located within Veterans Park. In addition to the wall, the lakeside park includes an aquatic center, splash pad, disc gold, and nature trails.
