American Legion Riders Post 661 of Washburn, Ill., held its first blood drive Aug. 30, 2017. The community donated 25 pints of blood in 4 hours. Our goal was 21 pints. ALR Post 661 would like to thank the community and surrounding towns for their generous donation of life. One pint of blood could save up to 3 lives. The blood was headed to the Houston area.
