July 23 deadline to submit Snapshots of Service entries

Sons of The American Legion squadrons have until July 23 to submit entries for this year’s Snapshots of Service contest.

Photos submitted to the Snapshots of Service program must represent one of the four pillars: Americanism, Children and Youth, National Security, or Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation. Submitted photos must be in JPG or TIFF format and will become property of the SAL.

Photos must not have a right of restriction and must contain members of the Sons with their covers or identifiable clothing on during the activity or event and a brief history of the event. Squadrons may submit a maximum of three photos per category.

Judging will be conducted by the SAL Public & Media Communications Commission on the following criteria: quality of photo; best symbolism of support of the four pillars; inclusion of an SAL member or members.
