2024 Legion Baseball regionals: Wednesday roundup
Defending American Legion World Series champion League City (Tex.) Post 554 took an opening round victory and 15 of the 32 games were shutout victories as regional playoffs began on Wednesday at eight sites in the 64-team tournament.

Daniel DeMerjian (2 hits, double, 1 RBI), Chase Barrett (double, 2 RBIs) and starter and winner Chase Donahue (double, 6 innings) led Hudson to a 6-run top of the 7th inning and reliever Ryan Graf (1 inning) got the save by stranding the potential tying run on second base.

Jack Kane had three hits for West Hartford.
