The 100 miles challenge is just the beginning!

When you complete your 100-mile journey, you can download your Certificate of Completion.

We've also built in incentives and mini-challenges for the top fundraisers to keep you motivated throughout your journey.

Monthly challenges

This year, 100 Miles for Hope is offering monthly mini-challenges with incentives. National headquarters staff will review the donations at the end of each month and determine which participant garnered the highest donation total for the month. That person will receive the incentive for the month as a reward. There will also be an incentive for the top overall fundraiser determined at the conclusion of the challenge. Note: Any donations that are mailed in to National Headquarters will count in the month they are received.

• March: Autographed Jimmie Johnson 100 Miles for Hope shirt.

• April: Autographed Tony Kanaan 100 Miles for Hope shirt, mini die-cast replica car or hat.

Top overall individual fundraiser

The top overall individual fundraiser for The American Legion 100 Miles for Hope in 2022, from March 1 through Sept. 5, will receive four tickets to the INDYCAR race of their choice during the 2023 season. The recipient of the tickets will be responsible for their own transportation, lodging and other expenses.

American Legion National Headquarters staff will determine the top fundraiser. Any donations that are sent via mail must be postmarked before Sept. 5 in order to be counted toward this initiative.

Individual participant incentives

All individual participants who raise additional funds beyond their $30 entry fee can receive rewards as they reach each of three tiers of fundraising accomplishments.

Tier 1: $100 in donations
Downloadable certificate from national commander

Tier 2: $250 in donations

Tier 3: $500 in donations
