Greene County World War I Memorial

Greene County World War I Memorial

This memorial features a laser-engraved block of black granite with the life-size image of a U.S. Army soldier of the Great War. The other gray granite monoliths have the names of the 58 men from Greene County who were killed in action. There are three flagpoles with the flags of the United States, France and Pennsylvania, along with 58 lighted poles with the names of all 58 men. At the base of the flagpole in red brick is the “keystone” symbol of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
