9/11 Flight 93 Flag Monument

9/11 Flight 93 Flag Monument

This monument was generously built, installed, and donated by Anderson Brothers & Johnson/Michels Corp. out of Wausau, Wisconsin. This monument was originated and designed by Legionnaire Michael L. Emerson. Emerson also designed and was the build manager for the Flight 93 Memorial in Union City, California (www.93Memorial.com) in 2007 and the National Flight 93 Memorial at the crash site in Shanksville, Pennsylvania in 2011. What is really cool about this monument is that it is made of the exact same granite material as the Flight 93 Memorial in Union City, California. After Emerson got approval from the National Park service AB&J/Michels Corp. personally delivered and installed the monument at the temporary crash site in 2008. Once the national memorial started to be built the park service put all of the temporary memorial in safe storage, they have promised at some point that those items will one day be taken out of storage so that they can be seen again.
