Veterans Memorial

A 6' tall, 3-sided, piece of black granite that sits on a 2' tall, 6' diameter, 5-sided piece of granite. The black granite sides read: REMEMBERING THOSE KILLED IN ACTION - REMEMBERING THOSE WHO REMAIN POW/MIA - REMEMBERING THOSE WHO RETURNED. Each side of the 5-sided granite reads: ARMY - NAVY - MARINES - AIR FORCE - COAST GUARD. This monument is surrounded by granite bricks that were purchased. Each brick is engraved with 3 lines of their choice. That area is surrounded by 6 granite pillars that stand 3' tall. On one side of the monument is a 2' x 2' x 4' tall piece of granite with the top cut on an angle and that reads: RECOGNIZING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF ALL VETERANS - ERECTED BY - ALGONQUIN AMERICAN LEGION - NOVEMBER 11, 2000. Just behind this is a aluminum, 25' lighted flag pole.
