The Bartholomew County Memorial for Veterans
The Bartholomew County Memorial for Veterans is a tribute to those living and dead who answered the nation's call in the conflicts of the twentieth century. There are 25 limestone pillars arranged in a 5x5 grid, 40 foot tall. The interior walls of the stones are filled with many inscriptions, including many letters to home from our brave heroes that perished during battle. These intimate looks into their lives brings home the reality of war. Very emotional visit!
