Hans E. Lian Post 444 Memorial Park
Located on a corner city lot in downtown Middle River, the memorial is situated on patio blocks with a 4 x 12 foot curved brick display. The first panel lists names of World War I, World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War local veterans killed in action. The center panel features the insignias of all branches of the United States Armed Forces. The third panel simply acknowledges all veterans with the message, "To our men and women in uniform, Past, Present, and Future.........God bless you.....and thank you". On two sides of the patio are two benches given in memory of a past veteran who died of natural causes.
