In Honor of Service
The memorial was originally dedicated to those who served in World War II from the Regent Square neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The memorial lists the names of those who served between 1941 and 1945. The Gold Star veterans are listed first. The memorial indicates it was erected by the Woman's Club of Regent Square. A newer plaque, on the bottom of the memorial, provides an honor to those who served in World War I and the Korean and Vietnam wars.
