Staff Sgt. Donald G. Kattic Memorial Flagpole, North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania

Donald G.Kattic was the Commander of VFW Post 781 for 20 years. He served in the United States Marine Corps in Korea during the Korean War. He had spearheaded successful efforts to build a veterans monument at Norwin High School where he taught for 35 years as well as the creation of a military memorial at the North Huntingdon Town House. The flagpole is lighted at night and has a black reflective granite marker with the image of Staff Sgt. Kattic at its base.
