Silent Heroes of the Cold War National Memorial

Silent Heroes of the Cold War National Memorial

This national memorial was designed and built to honor and remember military and civilians who served during the Cold War, and to also remember the 14 men who worked on top secret programs from the Air Force, CIA and Lockheed Corp. who died in a plane crash on November 17, 1955 in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. The American Legion in Las Vegas was a big supporter of this memorial.
