World War I Memorial

Life size World War I 'Doughboy' stands with his rife upon a concrete pedestal. A plaque on the pedestal reads "In memory of those from Cape Girardeau County who gave their lives in defense of liberty in The World War. 1916-1918" Forty names are listed on the plaque. Legionnaires gathered in May of 1925 for the dedication.
