Boys State / Nation Headlines

Friday, July 23, marked the start of the 65th American Legion Boys Nation program, where 98 Boys State representatives arrived in Washington, D.C.

Two representatives selected from each of the 49 Boys States will convene in Washington, D.C., July 23-30 for Boys Nation.

Since 1935, more than a million high school boys have attended The American Legion Boys State program to experience a week that can change a lifetime.

Publication follows 98 young men through "a week that shapes a lifetime."

Christopher Andrews, 17, of Green River, Wyo., was elected president of The American Legion Boys Nation.
