Veteran awareness event in San Diego

Military veterans in and around the greater San Diego area are invited Dec. 15-17 for a special Veterans Awareness Campaign/Be the One event at American Legion Post 731, 7245 Linda Vista Road, San Diego, CA 92111. Download the flyer for more details. 

Officers and staff members from National Headquarters and the Department of California, along with local post members, will be available throughout the three-day event. There will be a veteran service officer onsite to discuss VA benefits. And the Be the One event on Dec. 16 will focus on reducing the rate of veteran suicide by reducing the stigma of mental health treatment and empowering everyone to “Be the One” to act accordingly when the life of a veteran is at risk.
