Albuquerque post hosting 9th ‘Heroes Hiring Heroes’ event

American Legion Post 13 in Albuquerque, N.M., will host its ninth annual Heroes Hiring Heroes employment event on April 24.

The event, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the post at 1201 Legion Road NE, is open to veterans and nonveterans alike.

Over 35 employers and community resources will be at the event, a collaboration between the Legion, New Mexico Workforce Connection and Workforce Connection of Central New Mexico. Sponsors include Wellcare, the University of New Mexico and Rio Metro Regional Transit District.
