Andrew Dykstal wins 2009 oratorical contest
Andrew Dykstal, a high school senior from Lafayette, Ind., earned an $18,000 college scholarship and first place in The American Legion National High School Oratorical Scholarship Program – "A Constitutional Speech Contest." His winning oration was titled "A More Perfect Union." The National Finals were held April 19 in Indianapolis, Ind. This is the winning prepared oration.

About 250 people, including the Patriot Guards who lined the street with motorcycles and U.S. Flags, were on hand to welcome Pequeno.
