The American Legion National Oratorical Championship Contests started with 53 outstanding competitors and ended with another deserving champion, Tori Beth Black from Iva, S.C.
Contestants from Alabama, South Carolina and Vermont will compete today for the $18,000 first-place scholarship. The finals will be broadcast live at 10 a.m. at www.legion.org.
Saturday marks the kick-off date for The American Legion National Oratorical Championship Contest. Sunday's finals will again appear in a live webcast.
