In the nine years since the deadly attacks on September 11, 2001, 49 military heroes from New Hampshire have died in the Global War on Terror. Their names are inscribed on a monument at American Legion Post 35 in Hampton, N.H. As part of their annual observances, Legionnaires invite their community to the post for ceremonies honoring New Hampshire's fallen. National Commander Jimmie Foster attended this year's observances.
