Women and Minority Veteran Outreach team will host 50 women veterans to learn about VA facilities and services dedicated to their specific needs

In honor of Women’s History Month, The American Legion’s Women and Minority Veteran Outreach team will host an Orlando VA Medical Center “Day Trip” at Lake Nona March 24-25, 2017, to expose women veterans to the VA facility and services dedicated to their specific needs.

Registration will begin promptly at 6 p.m., followed by a women veterans’ meet and greet social inside The Bistro on Friday, March 24 at the Courtyard by Marriott Orlando Lake Nona.

On Saturday, March 25 starting at 10 a.m., the outreach team will visit the Orlando VA hospital campus to learn about the VA intake process, benefits and women’s center. A Q&A panel will then take place at 1 p.m. with Department of VA representatives, facilitated by The American Legion Washington Office Executive Director Verna Jones.
