Doing the Tango at national convention

This week American Legion Tango Alpha Lima podcast co-hosts Stacy Pearsall and Adam Marr packed their microphones, camped out in a special booth and interviewed a wide range of guests during the organization’s 105th national convention in New Orleans.

Among those featured in this special episode: 

• Marine Corps veteran Waco Hoover, the chairman of Be the One and a member of The American Legion.

• Steve Burke, an Army veteran, West Point grad and Business Leader of Associations with Grouper. He is a member of The American Legion in the Department of North Carolina.

• Navy veteran Andre Andrews, a member of American Legion Post 283 in Los Angeles and chairman of the Department of California’s Video Game Committee.

Kristie McNally, deputy director of the U.S. Mint. She served 13 years as a federal law enforcement officer before her transfer to the Mint.

• Katie Walker, chief executive director of Revitalist Lifestyle and Wellness Ltd., and a leading advocate for the integration of psychedelic medicine into mainstream mental health practices. She is also the author of “Inflamed: Theory,” where she delves into the intricate relationship between mental health and the neurological and inflammatory processes within the brain.

Norka Rojas, chief of Internment Services at Arlington National Cemetery.

Lexie Millikan, executive director of Quilts of Valor. She is an artist, educator and curator living in western Kentucky. 

Cullen Wright and Christina Lonigro of Advocate Healthcare. Wright is the company’s national director, and Lonigro is a regional manager and veterans specialist.
