Sokol Club Veterans Memorial
Bronze plaque on outside wall of social hall facing the street. Dedicated to past, present and future Sokol Club members who served in the armed forces. Date of creation is not known, but the condition of the plaque is excellent and likely less than 25 years old. The Sokol Clubs are a national organization for those of Slovak ethnic origin. In addition to social fraternity, there is a special emphasis on sports and athletic endeavors in keeping with their motto “ A Sound Mind In A Sound Body“.
