Believed to be the first of its kind in the United States, the Vietnam War Veterans Memorial lists all Oregon statewide KIA and MIA at the time of the 1968 dedication. The memorial's original location at the Elks Lodge building was sold and the memorial was placed in harms way. The memorial was moved in 2016 to the Beaverton Veterans Memorial Park in Beaverton, Oregon.
