Three vertical granite pillars on a large granite base. The two outside pillars are gray granite and the center larger pillar is black granite. At the top of the black granite is the American flag with a bald eagle on top. In the center of the black granite is "This is to Honor Our Brave Men and Women who are Serving and Have Served in Our Armed Forces and in Loving Memory of those who Gave the Ultimate Sacrifice for the Freedom of this Great Nation". The black section also features the emblems of the VFW, the American Legion, the United States Navy, the United States Marine Corps, the United States Army, the United States Coast Guard, and the United States Air Force. Charles B. Burke American Legion Post 99 Madill and VFW created the veterans memorial in front of the Marshall County Courthouse in the center of Madill's town square. The Marshall County Courthouse was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. Built in 1914, its architect was Jewell Hicks, who also designed the Oklahoma state capitol building. The gray sections list the wars and list those county veterans being memorialized.
