A beautiful black granite monument lists the names of the 29 men from Cabarrus County, North Carolina who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. In addition, monument details include the rank, branch of service and date of death of each casualty. In addition to the monument, benches surround the monument site and are adorned with the emblems of the five military branches who served during the Vietnam War. The Cabarrus Veterans Coalition would like to enhance the site with lighting and installation of service flags in the future.
