Grant's Tomb, now formally known as General Grant National Memorial
Hiram Ulysses Grant was both a General of the Army during the Civil War and the 18th President of the United States. Because of his loyalty to New York after a financial disaster, he is buried in Upper Manhattan, New York on a hill overlooking the Hudson River. He is known as the poorest President.
