This is a memorial erected in Libby, Montana, the County Seat of Lincoln County. It was solicited and erected by members of the Austin Reedy Post 97 of the American Legion. Austin Reedy was the first Lincoln County soldier killed in action during World War I. The other names on the monument were also casualties of World War I, not necessarily in combat, and all were from Lincoln County, Montana.
