The Hudson Veterans Memorial was the inspiration of Town Trustee, Ray Patch, a US Navy Vietnam Veteran. Ray is currently the Mayor of Hudson. Built in 2012 with donations from local citizens and businesses, the memorial features an engraved white marble block, plaques featuring: the insignias of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard and Merchant Marine; sandstone tiles and bricks acknowledging donations and honoring friends and relatives who served in the military; flags; flowers, trees and benches; and a quotation from Dwight Eisenhower that reads, "The hopes and prayers of liberty loving people everywhere march with you."
