Situated on “The Hunchback” at the edge of the forest Bois d’Lisch between Wolfskirchen and Postroff in France, this memorial marks the place where Captain Winters perished when his P-47 Thunderbolt was shot down by Nazi German anti aircraft fire on November 25,1944.
