March Impact: The fight for toxic exposure help

American Legion was busy advocating for veterans in Washington and across the country.

The American Legion’s Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security and Employment & Education volunteers and staff were busy in Washington as National Commander Paul E. Dillard prepared to deliver testimony before a joint session of the House and Senate Committees on Veterans’ Affairs.

Legislation to provide relief for veterans exposed to burn pit toxic exposures, benefits assistance by staff, and a major benefit that raised more than $106,000 for Operation Comfort Warriors in Indianapolis were just some of many measurable acts of performance by the organization in March 2022.
