Approximately 600 toys will be handed out to children by Kansas Legion Family.

An American Legion Family delegation, masquerading as Santa and his elves, will provide holiday cheer at Fort Riley in Kansas this week.

Department of Kansas Commander Dan Wiley will lead Operation North Pole, an annual program where Legion Family members provide gifts to children who have a parent in the Warrior Transition Battalion at Fort Riley.

Approximately 600 toys will be handed out by Santa to the children in two sessions, one on Dec. 7 and another the following day.

Share how your department, district, post, chapter, unit and/or squadron is bringing holiday cheer to your communities this year by emailing sbrooks@legion.org and sharing a story on Legiontown at www.legiontown.org.
