Arkansas National Guard Tuition Incentive Program (GRIP):
Provides tuition assistance and fees for soldiers attending Arkansas public and private colleges and universities. Members may receive benefits up to $1,000 per semester for eight semesters in accredited Arkansas institutions for full-time students. Amount is pro-rated for part-time students. Based on student status and available funding.
Eligibility: Arkansas National Guard member.
Spouse/dependent Benefits for POW/MIA/KIA:
The Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE) has the authority to provide free tuition and fees at any state-supported college, university, technical school, or vocational school to the wife and children of any Arkansan who has been declared to be POW or MIA status since Jan. 1, 1960. The same provisions apply to the surviving spouse and children of any Arkansas resident killed in action since 1960.
