Boys State, Legion Baseball and Oratorical see an increase in youth participation.

Three premier youth programs of The American Legion saw participation growth in 2024 over 2023:

- American Legion Boys State grew by 915 rising high school seniors across 50 departments for 13,385 participants this year. Since COVID in 2020, when only two departments held Boys State virtually, the program has grown by 5,816 participants.

- American Legion Baseball had 3,049 registered teams (1,796 senior teams and 1,253 junior teams) from 51 departments for the 2024 season. This is an increase of 117 teams from last season.

- American Legion Oratorical Contest at the post level had 6,424 participants this year which is up by 2,341 participants from last year.

And with the 2024-2025 school year underway and American Legion youth programs getting started again, Legion posts can continue to grow participation with these one-sheet flyers for Boys State/Nation, Oratorical, Legion Baseball and Junior Shooting Sports. Give the flyers to teachers and administrators to hang in classrooms to promote Americanism programs.
