We want to hear from American Legion posts, districts and departments either conducting or taking part in observations in March.

March is Women's History Month and was created to celebrate the contributions women have made to the United States and recognize the specific achievements women have made over the course of American history in a variety of fields.

We want to celebrate our women veterans and find out how they are being honored this month. If your American Legion post, district or department is organizing, hosting or taking part in any Women’s History Month events, please let us know. Either email sbrooks@legion.org or share your stories and photos on www.legiontown.org in the Women Veterans section.

Also, don’t forget to check out our special Women’s History Month podcast series – “Trailblazing Women Veterans” – produced by The American Legion in 2024. The four-part series highlighted the service of four women who made big differences in U.S. military history.
