Both House and Senate have passed resolutions honoring the nation'a largest veterans organization; day also marks kickoff of Legiontown campaign.
Today, Sept. 16, is officially recognized as American Legion Day by both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Resolutions have been passed in both chambers honoring the Legion. Click here(Opens in a new window) for U.S. Sen. Olympia Snowe's floor statement about the resolution.
