Post revitalization effort that includes American Legion service officer taking place Oct. 5 in Pelham.
The American Legion Department of Alabama is staging a veterans outreach and post revitalization effort Oct. 5 in Pelham, Ala. Veterans in and around Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Shelby and Talladega Counties are invited to discuss veterans’ benefits, and learn about the Legion’s legislative efforts, membership opportunities and service to the community. A veteran service officer will be available to discuss claims and other benefits questions.
The effort will take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at American Legion Post 55, 50 Racquet Club Parkway, Pelham. An accredited American Legion service officer will be available to assist veterans and their families with VA claims at no cost and answer other questions related to benefits.
