Veterans outreach, claims assistance coming to Alabama

Three different locations set for revitalization efforts that will include American Legion service officers. 

The American Legion Department of Alabama is staging three veteran outreach and post revitalization efforts Nov. 16 in three different locations. Veterans in and area the areas are invited to discuss veterans’ benefits, and learn about the Legion’s legislative efforts, membership opportunities and service to the community. Benefits claims assistance also will be available at all three sites.

·       Decatur: Veterans in and around Blount, Cullman, Limestone, Madison and Morgan Counties are invited to American Legion Post 15, 2607 Highway 31 South from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. A veteran service officer will be available to discuss claims and other benefits questions.

·       Jasper: Veterans in and around Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Walker and Winston Counties are invited to the Wade Building, Bevill State Community College, 805 14th Street East from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. A veteran service officer will be available to discuss claims and other benefits questions.

·       Enterprise: Veterans in and around Barbour, Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry, Houston and Pike Counties are invited to American Legion Post 73, 701 East Lee St. from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. A veteran service officer will be available to discuss claims and other benefits questions.
