Legion delivers statement on invasion, issues grants, helps veterans with their appeals and more in February.

The American Legion’s National Executive Committee adopted a resolution Feb. 28 stating the organization’s position on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and conditions that should be met before any U.S. troops are deployed.

Also in February – working at the community, state and national levels – the Legion disbursed grants to posts adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, delivered an Operation Comfort Warriors-funded paddle board to an Afghanistan veteran, raised funds and awareness about veteran homelessness, answered Flag Code questions and began registering teams for the 2022 American Legion Baseball season.
