Washington veterans outreach efforts planned

Post 94 in Olympia and Post 15 in Kent will serve as host sites for district revitalizations.

American Legion national staff and Department of Washington Legionnaires are teaming up for a veterans outreach and district revitalization efforts March 23-25 in Olympia and Kent. Veterans and their families are encouraged to attend to get assistance and learn about American Legion programs.

  • Olympia: The effort will take place noon-6 p.m. March 23, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. March 24, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 25 at R. V. Van Schoick Lacey American Legion Post 94, 2602 Marvin Road SE, Olympia. A veterans service officer will be available all three days to assist with Department of Veterans Affairs-related issues and other veterans benefits questions.
  • Kent: The effort will take place from noon-6 p.m. March 23, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. March 24 and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 25 at American Legion Post 15, 25405 97th Place South, Kent. A veterans service officer will be available all three days to assist with Department of Veterans Affairs-related issues and other veterans benefits questions.
