The meetings get underway Oct. 7 with remarks by the national commander being livestreamed on Oct. 9.
The American Legion’s annual Fall Meetings will be held Oct. 7-10 in Indianapolis.
Members of American Legion commissions and committees will meet Oct. 7-8 at the Sheraton City Centre Hotel Indianapolis to prepare reports that will be delivered to the National Executive Committee (NEC). The NEC will meet Oct. 9-10 at National Headquarters to review the reports and vote on resolutions brought forth.
Remarks will be delivered by American Legion National Commander James LaCoursiere Jr., and other distinguished guests at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9. His remarks will be livestreamed on the Legion's YouTube page. Story coverage from the meeting will be online at legion.org.
During Fall Meetings, the 2024 Samsung American Legion Scholarship recipients will be awarded and the 2025 Child Welfare Foundation grant recipients will be announced. The Samsung scholarship is awarded to eligible participants of the current session of American Legion Boys State and Auxiliary Girls State. And CWF grants are awarded to nonprofits that contribute to the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs of youth.
