Meta’s new ‘text-based conversation app’ picked up more than 100 million subscribers in first seven days.
On July 5 of this year, Meta’s Instagram social media platform launched Threads, termed as a “text-based conversation app” that is similar to Twitter. The app’s “soft” launch happened in around 100 countries.
In just seven days, Threads had surpassed 100 million users – including The American Legion.
https://www.threads.net/@theamericanlegion is where The American Legion is providing information, stories and resources similar to what we share via Twitter. You’ll find links to stories on www.legion.org; information about American Legion programs and services, such as benefits claims assistance; and messaging from the Legion’s Be the One veteran suicide-prevention initiative.
So far, Threads does not have a web-based version. You can only join by downloading the app either through Apple’s App Store for iOS devices and in Google Play for Android. The app also can be downloaded by going online to www.threads.net and using the QR code provided.
For now, only Instagram users can sign up for Threads. You can sign up for Instagram online or by downloading its app in either the Apple Store or Google Play.
