Announcements:
Taking a cue from W5ATK, I have instituted This Day in Military History. The announcement from Jan Net Announcements: Starting Monday, Jan. 3, and continuing every Monday at 7 pm CST, another 80 meter net will be conducted by Art W5ATK from Enterprise, Ala. Net will be on 3.862 LSB.
Post 275, Glenarden, Md, is experimenting with the HF net that has been conducted on the second Saturday of each month. For a trial period of three months, the net has moved to 40 meters at 7.275 and will operate a two-hour net from 10 am to noon Eastern time. See N3TAL on QRZ.com for QSL info.
The Post 46 Wilderness Road American Legion holds a monthly D-Star net on the first Monday of every month at 8 pm EST on Ref 56C, and EchoLink Node of KY4RW-L. Early check-ins are accepted ½ hour before net starts.
Post 275, Upper Marlboro, holds a monthly Wires-X on the third Tuesday of every month on Room 21433 at 7 pm EST.
All American Legion nets and frequencies can be found at www.legion.org/hamradio.
Post 42 in Bardstown, Ky., began a weekly TALARC net using the WinLink system. More information about Post 42’s WinLink operations is on the TALARC website at www.legion.org/hamradio.
Another new net opportunity is brought to us by Post 76 in Las Vegas. They will conduct operations every Monday at 7 pm Pacific time on All-Star Node 44045 and on EchoLink on Node 740664.

Thursdays at 7 pm CST, K5TAL hosts an all-digital net via a service called QuadNet Array (www.openquad.net). This service allows any form of digital voice to be routed so DMR users can hear D-Star and C4FM Fusion, D-Star can hear everyone, as can C4FM users. It also allows DV Dongle users to communicate likewise. The net is listed on the www.openquad.net website. You can listen to the HF 80 meter by going to www.n4dkd.com and enter the frequency and LSB. If you have an Apple device, there is a box to the right to enable audio for IOS.

For God and Country
