General session begins.

As the 103rd American Legion National Convention enters the home stretch, the general session will begin at 8:30 a.m. Central time with the Call to Order by National Commander Paul E. Dillard. Today’s session will also include:

- The presentation of the American Legion youth program champions, and the Spirit of Service active-duty volunteer winners from each service branch;

- Greetings from local and state dignitaries, and representatives from other organizations;

- The Distinguished Service Medal and Patriot Award;

- Dillard’s report to the convention;

- And other convention business. The National Commander’s Banquet will be held that evening.
