MicroTech, a leading technology systems integrator, has announced that President and CEO Tony Jimenez is a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2010 Award in the Greater Washington region. The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Jimenez, a member of The American Legion's Small Business Task Force, was selected by a panel of independent judges as a finalist. The winners will be announced at a special gala event on June 24 at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner.

"To anyone who launches and runs a business, being recognized by Ernst & Young as a top entrepreneur is one of the most prestigious awards there is," Jimenez said. "MicroTech's success has come from the hard work and dedication of our many employees who have transformed government technology. And that success is leveraged on a daily basis for our customers in the form of industry experience, technical expertise, and effectively meeting their needs."

Jimenez has been the recipient of a number of recent business leader awards including Federal Computer Week's Federal 100 "Top leaders from government, industry and academia who significantly influence how the federal government buys, uses or manages information technology," the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) "Veteran Champion of the Year," the Hispanic Committee of Virginia "Hermes Award," SmartCEO Magazine's Smart 100 CEOs, the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce "Corporate Business Advocate of the Year," the Virginia Hispanic Chamber "Entrepreneur of the Year," and Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association (LISTA) "CEO of the Year."

Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on Nov. 13. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
