We’re looking for the number of phone calls made and veterans reached by Legion Family members during VA’s first Buddy Check Week.
With the first U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ National Buddy Check Week having wrapped up on Oct. 20, we’d like to get an idea of how many Buddy Check calls members of the American Legion Family made during those five days.
We’ve already reported on the efforts of some individuals and posts that week, but we’d like to get a more widespread picture of the total effort made by Legion Family members that week.
While American Legion posts have the opportunity to feature their Buddy Check efforts annually on the Consolidated Post Report, we’re looking for numbers specific to National Buddy Check Week. Please email sbrooks@legion.org to share those numbers. Include your post number and location, as well as the number of calls made and veterans reached. And if you want, please share how some of these interactions went and if you were able to provide some sort of assistance for those veterans needing it.
And please remember to also share your efforts and photos in the Buddy Check section of legiontown.org.
