One of the two trifolds can be customized at the local level for posts to use at their Be the One events.
The American Legion continues to support its Be the One mission by equipping members and posts with resources that bring awareness to veteran suicide and help with responding to a veteran in crisis. An informative resource is the local and national Be the One trifold brochures that have been revised. These brochures, and other resources, are available for download under Print Materials on the Be the One resource page.
National brochure – This trifold is a PDF that can be printed and distributed to educate veterans, non-veterans, community partners and others about Be the One, how they can save a life, and access available resources at betheone.org.
Local brochure – This trifold is a Word document that posts and Legionnaires can download and customize to use at their Be the One events or distribute at any community event where Be the One can be shared. The back page of this trifold features instructions, which can easily be deleted, on how to customize it. Posts can use the back page to feature their contact information, a QR code with a link to the post website or 988 Veterans Crisis Line, a list of local mental health resources, post service officer information and more.
