The American Legion’s goal in the new year is to train 100,000 Legion Family members in veteran suicide prevention.
The American Legion is continuing its Be the One veteran suicide prevention training in the new year with a goal – 100,000 Legion Family members trained by the end of 2025. To support this goal, The American Legion will continue its partnership with the Columbia University Lighthouse Project to conduct the training.
Those who have taken the training said: “I had no idea how to ask about suicide, but now I do;” “I can do this now;” “This training will save lives.”
