The District of Columbia’s final season of American Legion Baseball came just four years after Post 38’s Ronald Harris was the program’s Slugger of the Year with a .406 batting average for D.C.’s fourth and final American Legion World Series participant.

D.C.’s first ALWS appearance ended with a runner-up finish to Cincinnati Post 216 in 1955.
